Who is B-Roll Benny?

In York PA, they call me B-Roll Benny. 

I was born in Corning, NY and raised in nearby Mansfield, PA. The beauty of those mountains was never lost on me, and I spent my youth playing in the woods with my friends, building forts, and riding bikes. 

Following high school graduation, I enlisted in the US Navy. I served for 6 years as a Cryptologic Technician, where I provided encrypted telecommunications technical support for Naval Space Command in Dahlgren, VA.

After getting out of the Navy I settled in Central PA, where I’ve resided since 2003.  However, feeling the call to serve again, I enlisted once more, this time in the Army Reserve where I served as a combat engineer in Harrisburg, PA.

I’ve worn many hats in my years, but the one that I’m most proud of is “Dad." I have 4 children ranging from college age, to diaper age. They really do keep me young!

When my youngest was born I decided to pick up photography as a hobby. I wanted to be able to take semi-professional photographs of my family.  The result? Photography as a hobby just wasn't enough! I became completely fascinated with the entire process and decided to give it a go as a career.

I'm well versed in portrait, landscape, and commercial photography, but my LOVE is for outdoor portrait.  I absolutely love outdoor portrait photography!
